MBS to launch new ‘dance party friendly’ flag as kingdom set to change name to Saudi Ravea

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia is inching towards changes to the royal decree that governs its national anthem and flag, as Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman authorises changes at the helm of the kingdom.

Late on Thursday, the kingdom’s un-elected consultative Shura Council voted in favour of changes to both the flag and the country’s name, The Dependent can confirm.

The move comes as the country’s young crown prince emphasises Saudi nationality and national pride, which now has to be linked to the Saudis publically partying like there’s no tomorrow.

“To ensure that the nation parties like there’s no tomorrow, it has to gradually believe that there was no yesterday either,” a senior Saudi official said while talking to The Dependent.

“In that regard, His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman has decided to launch a more dance party friendly flag, which people can drape around themselves and wear in all kinds of hip costumes without causing any feeling of outrage anywhere,” the official added.

Saudi officials have also informed that the kingdom is also set to be renamed in accordance with the vision that MBS has for the future, called the ‘Saudi Vision 2030’.

“There are a few names on the shortlist, but I can confirm that the next time you hear of the country you’ll be calling it Saudi Ravea,” a member of the Saudi royal family informed The Dependent.

“And we have already hired one of the world’s top DJs to finalise a hardcore techno beat for the next Saudi national anthem,” he added.
