LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi has assured the nation’s cricket lovers that the proscribed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is only interested in attacking the policemen guarding the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) events.
“Guys! Chill, will you? I have it on good authority that the Taliban will not attack civilians this time around, and will only attack state installations and officials,” said the PCB chief at a press conference.
“So, at the most, it will only be the policemen guarding the PSL matches that will be attacked.”
“The minor inconvenience of stepping over some dead policemen is something that a true lover of the game will not mind,” he said.
“I would like to also tell our brothers in the Taliban, to watch a bit of the game, before doing their thing,” he said.
“Ok, thanks,” he said, at the end of the press conference.
