Tessori practicing growl vocals in preparation to lead unified MQM

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has been practicing growl vocals in preparation to lead the unified Muttahida Qaumi Movement, reliable sources have informed The Dependent.

All set to take charge of the yet-to-be-officially-announced Muttahida Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MMQM), Tessori has been listening to a lot of death metal music to master the death growl.

“There’s been a lot of Cradle of Filth, Lamb of God, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, and Opeth in the playlist these days,” revealed an insider, while talking to The Dependent.

“He especially wants to emulate the skillsets of George ‘Corpsegrinder’ Fisher and Mikael Akerfeldt, as he hopes to lead the Muttahida Muttahida Qaumi Movement,” they added.

Sources within the MQM say that Tessori realises that he would need to command a bigger presence given the unification challenges.

“That requires proficiency in a wider range of singing, encompassing a greater spectrum of music,” said an MQM leader while talking to The Dependent.

“And of course for the lead vocalist, it’s not just the range of vocals but also the stage presence that is critical, especially in this particular band, which would need more than its fair share of theatre,” they added.

It has also been confirmed that the country’s leading entertainment institute has agreed to provide all the support in the production and development of both the vocalist and the band.

At press time, Restoration Committee Chairman Dr Farooq Sattar was seen entering the Governor’s House with drumsticks in his hands.
