Each of the four provincial meteorological departments have predicted that there will be heavy fog in the four respective provincial assemblies on Wednesday, which also happens to be the day of the Senate elections.
“We are looking at a heavy buildup of fog,” said Sohail Ahmed, Chief Meteorologist, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “Expect very low visibility and a disruption of some activities and perhaps a delay in even regular, routine activities.”
“We are expecting the fog to clear up by the end of the day,” said Hassan Bhatti, Secretary, Punjab Meteorology Department, Lahore. “However, it might even go on till the day after that.”
“In fact, it could go as long as it, well, takes,” he said, nervously looking out from his window onto the parking lot.
