Islamabad man cleverly escapes leopard by convincing it that it was from older video from Himachal Pradesh

Asghar Zaidi, a resident of Islamabad, recently escaped a wild leopard that was roaming the Pir Sohawa Road in Islamabad in the latest spate of leopard sightings in the aftermath of the decrease in human traffic on the road.

“So I had stepped out of my car and sat on a stone bench to have a cup of tea in the thermos that I had brought from home and enjoy the evening view,” he said. “And lo and behold, there is was, a leopard! And it was coming my way. I almost soiled myself.”

Having his wits about him, Zaidi employed an intelligent technique. “I simply told it that it was not actually in Islamabad and was confused. That it was actually from an older video from Himachal Pradesh.”

After being confused by this speech by Zaidi, the leopard stopped in its tracks. “Yes, yes, I am certain, you are not from here and now, but actually, this is footage from an older, 2014 video from the Himachal Pradesh province in India. Yes.”

“Oh, I’m terribly sorry,” the leopard said. “Sorry for the misunderstanding. I didn’t know I was actually from an older video.”

“Phew, close call,” the leopard said. “And to think I was about to bite you in the jugular, tear you to pieces, eat your thighs, because I’m partial to those, and then gnaw at the rest of your innards. Sorry.”
