Put the commerce minister on the line, caller asks PM

A caller during the Prime Minister’s live call-in session asked him to put the Federal Minister for Trade and Commerce on the line.

“Hello? Is this Imran Khan,” asked Shakil Haider, President of the Swabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

“Yes, yes, speaking,” replied the PM. “You are indeed talking to the prime minister.”

“Oh, no, sorry for the confusion; I wanted to speak to the commerce minister,” said Haider. “I want to talk to him about the problems over at the Gadoon Industrial Estate.”

“Hold on,” said the prime minister, putting on another hat.

“Yes, this is the commerce minister,” he said, with a heavier voice.

“Oh, thank God I got through to you,” exclaimed Haider.

“You have really screwed us over, you piece of——-” Haider said before the rest of his message was bleeped out by censors.

“Phew, what a tough caller,” said the prime minister to the commerce minister. “I’m glad I don’t have your job!”
