ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan rallied in support of Prime Minister Imran Khan after a faction had voiced their split from Imran Khan’s party in retaliation against Imran Khan.
“I am Imran Khan and I stand with Imran Khan @ImranKhanPTI #IStandWithImranKhan #BehindYouSkipper,” tweeted PM Khan from his Twitter account on Wednesday.
The original tweet also has the hashtag #ExposedHimself, but was later deleted and replaced with the new tweet after the premier was informed that the hashtag here did not mean what he thinks it meant, sources within the ruling Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) confirmed.
Khan was also advised to reconsider the #BehindYouSkipper hashtag but the advisor has been asked to shut up and join the faction that has split from the party, sources further said.
“Our leader, our pride! Free from the lust for power, clinging to its principles. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is Imran Khan!” Imran Khan further wrote on Twitter.
“All these MNAs/MPAs came in the assembly through IMRAN KHAN’s NAME ONLY. IK won’t be blackmailed, jio marzi hen karlo. #BehindYouSkipper,” further tweeted Imran Khan.
At press time, the government’s PKR 43 million worth Digital Media Wing was working on overdrive, with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting finalising the draft for an immediate increase in the wing’s share in the upcoming budget.
