Shah Mahmood schools former, future chairman of his party

The National Assembly saw a heated session when foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi schooled the former and future chairperson of his party.

“He says he knows me,” he asked rhetorically of his party chairman when he was foreign minister from 2008 to 2011. “Well, I know him more than he knows me.”

“In fact I know him since he was this tall,” he said, gesturing the height of the future chairman of his party, who was once, surprisingly, a child.

“I even know his Baba,” he said, referring to former President Zardari, of whom he had once raised the slogan, ‘Agli waari phir Zardari!

“It seems that the kid has gotten riled up,” said the visibly riled up foreign minister of the future chairman of his party, with whom he will be sharing space in an uncomfortably cobbled-together cabinet.

“Kids don’t tell what elders what to do,” said Qureshi to the young man he would be asking what to do in some years.
