Ali Noor named ambassador for Pakistan’s second knowledge city

LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan has appointed musician Ali Noor as ambassador to the country’s second knowledge city.

According to details the yet to be named knowledge city, like its predecessor, would be a centre of academic excellence for the marginalised population residing in remote areas of the country, and hence needs an ambassador with a similarly fitting profile as the first knowledge city.

While the second knowledge city itself is yet to be finalised, it was conceived on Friday night immediately after the PM realised who the next knowledge city ambassador deserves to be.

Government sources confirm that immediately upon the conception of the second knowledge city ambassador, and in turn the second knowledge city itself, the PM stressed upon the need for affordable and quality higher education opportunities for the talented youth of Pakistan.

“Good education lays the foundation for a society. And our choice of ambassadors should highlight the kind of society we want to build,” the PM told his aides.

The prime minister was briefed that now that it has been conceived, work would be initiated on the second knowledge city, which would be environment friendly and state of the art.

“Hopefully our new ambassador will be representative of the environment that students need and the state of the art and artistes in our country.”
