Retired general’s crazed pet causes drama in Islamabad

The city of Islamabad is seeing a prolonged bit of high drama ever since the crazed pet of a now retired general went wild.

“It was crazy, and all over the place,” said Samia Hassan, a resident of DHA Islamabad. “I was really scared. This thing can be lethal and can kill friend and foe alike, but basically more dangerous to those trying to help it.”

Others, though, were sympathetic towards the beast.

“I really hope no one shoots this thing. It is just a simple beast that doesn’t know any better,” said another DHA resident Lt Gen (retd) Faiz Hameed. “I know this one. Not my pet but I used to visit it often.”

Others were laying the blame mostly on the retired general who owned the pet.

“Such situations are bound to arise when one tries to domesticate feral beasts. The history of the country is one long cautionary tale against such endeavours.”
