FBR registers 16pc growth in first 9 months

ISLAMABAD: During first nine months of the current financial year, the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)  has recorded a provisional net revenue collection of over Rs2,621 billion against Rs2,260 billion collected during the same period in the previous fiscal year, excluding the collection on account of book adjustments.

In terms of percentage, FBR has recorded an increase of around 16 per cent over the revenue collected during the corresponding period of last fiscal year.

The provisional collection for the month of March 2018 was 361 billion excluding collection on account of book adjustments. The figures of collection received in the treasuries of remote areas may further increase the revenue figures.

The trend of revenue collection during the first nine months of the financial year speaks volumes for the efforts of the FBR to achieving the assigned annual revenue targets.
