Inter-Screenplay Public Relations to release new superhero film ‘Taliban Our Guardians’

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s number one production house Inter-Screenplay Public Relations is all set to release its first superhero film, The Dependent has reliably learnt.

The production house that has given the country some of its greatest hits, will now venture into the superhero genre with ‘Taliban Our Guardians’, a film about superheroes that safeguard the entire South Asian region from evils such as human rights, democracy and progress.

Sources within the film’s production team have revealed that the Taliban are created as a wide umbrella of superheroes formed the team from existing and previously unrelated jihadists created by a variety of writers and artists, with an initial roster of Afghan Taliban, Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan, Haqqani Network, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Sipah-e-Sahaba, among others.

“After the creation of the Taliban universe, we are hopeful about creating an al-Qaeda universe followed by an Islamic State universe in a future installment, and then putting together the greatest three-way superhero crossover of all time,” said a producer of ‘Taliban Our Guardians’.

Initial glimpses of the script of ‘Taliban Our Guardians’, which is based on comics written in the early 1970s, reveal that the film focuses on the creation of the Taliban, who possess extraordinary – generally superhuman – abilities and are dedicated to protecting Islam, and in turn the entire Muslim world.

‘Taliban Our Guardians’ will feature action, adventure, fantasy and even science fiction elements, all woven around Islamic theology and jihad.

In addition to the focus on the origin of the Taliban’s special powers, the film will showcase action-packed sequences of confrontations with many supervillains and archenemies.

“The scene where Osama Bin Laden posthumously takes on FATF is my favourite,” revealed another producer of ‘Taliban Our Guardians’, confirming that as the origin for the ‘Al-Qaeda Our Martyrs’ sequel.
