More of a Scotch man myself: Adnan Siddiqui explains himself

KARACHI: Popular actor Adnan Siddiqui, who was seen destroying bottles of seized liquor as part of a Pakistan Customs initiative, has clarified that he is not in favour of some sort of teetotaling moralism.

“You can see it was a bottle of vodka that I was destroying,” he told a gathering of happy reporters. “And I really hate vodka.”

“What do I tell you? It just doesn’t sit well with me,” he said. “A couple of bad experiences. Now, whenever I see a bottle, I just pick it up and throw it out.”

“And especially when it’s the overrated and overpriced Grey Goose,” he said.

“I’m more of a Scotch man myself,” he said. “That’s my poison.”

“Except when there’s nothing else, of course,” he said. “Then even cheap vodka will do.”
