The defence ministry has been alerted of faulty Fifth Generation Warfare equipment when it automatically tweet-fired “NDS, RAW involved” after a security lapse was recorded in the city of Peshawar.
“Yes, it fired an expired ordnance,” said a source within a department that comes under the ministry on the condition of anonymity. “That was not supposed to happen as the conditions that made that ordnance effective has changed.”
“We have sent a requisition to the defence and finance ministries for upgraded equipment,” he said.
