SPORTS ARENA – The nation’s most popular sport made its return in front of hordes of aficionados in an explosive affair.
While fans nationwide would argue the sport never actually goes away, the ceremony witnessed by a massive crowd made sure that it announced its presence loudly and proudly.
“As you can see everyone’s really excited to be here,” said one member of the crowd in Punjab, while talking to The Dependent.
“There’s absolutely nothing like the thrill you feel witnessing the spectacle unfold in front of you,” remarked another enthusiastic fan.
Observers say that nothing unites the nation as much as its favourite sport, with people from all walks of life passionate about it.
“No matter who the players are, it is always the sport, the nation, and its belief that always wins,” maintained a fan of the sport who followed the match from home.
“It is that unique sport where you, in the audience, whether you’re a member of the crowd present in the arena, or those following at home, we all become an active part of the action,” claimed another long-time follower of the game.
