There should be no sympathy for those who broke the law, says Ehsanullah Ehsan

Noted public intellectual Ehsanullah Ehsan has come down hard on the activists of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI).

“The law is the law and these miscreants should be read the riot act,” said Ehsan, while speaking to reporters from his bungalow. They should pay for the consequences of their actions.”

“Not putting them in jail is going to set a horrible precedent,” he continued, while helping himself to some fruit. “I mean does the writ of state mean nothing anymore?”

“Whatever happened to the monopoly on violence,” he asked.

“I wish the bleeding heart liberals would just look at all the damage these guys have done. Have you even seen the ruins of Jinn… (he paused to suppress a sob)….Jinnah House?”

“My friends at the ISPR are correct in calling the attack on Jinnah House Pakistan’s 9/11. There is no other incident that makes the cut.”
