Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi’s proposal for Shahid Khan Afridi’s daughter was finally accepted after he managed to secure a stable government job.
The Gary Sobers Cricketer Of The Year 2019 and winning captain of the Pakistan Super League 2021 was appointed as Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police this monday.
“He’s a good kid,” said father-in-law Shahid Khan Afridi. “But he was wasting his time in khel-kood and didn’t have a direction in life. Finally, with this stability, we think he will be able to take care of a family.”
When contacted, Shaheen Afridi said that he will try to fulfill his new responsibilities to the best of his capabilities. “It is every boy’s dream to be able to join government service. When they can’t, they have to settle for boring jobs, like bowling toe-crushers to batsmen at unbelievable speeds while a crowd of a billion people watch across the world on TV.”
