Bazid Khan disappears after suggesting Ben Stokes be given important political position in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI – Renowned cricket commentator Bazid Khan was nowhere to be seen minutes after England’s enthralling 74 run win in the final moments of the first Test at Rawalpindi, The Dependent has learnt.

While sources claim that the immediate cause of his sudden disappearance is not known, experts reiterate that Bazid’s disappearance might have something to do with the suggestion that England captain Ben Stokes be given an important political position in the strategically important town of Rawalpindi.

“He was commentating till the very end of the match and then minutes after saying that Ben Stokes should be made, you know, what he said, about the position in Rawalpindi, and then boom – he was gone,” said a member of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wishing anonymity.

It is pertinent to mention here that Bazid had suggested the powerful position for Stokes twice during the last session of the Test match.

The second, and perhaps decisive, came moments after England took the final wicket of Naseem Shah to wrap up the contest.
Bazid had also announced the launch of an online petition to ensure that Stokes be given that political position.

At press time, Bazid’s online presence had gone as well, with an edited version of commentary uploaded on the PCB’s official coverage of the final session of the cricket match.
