Imran offers to raise money for elections by meeting 2100 PTI ticket applicants

Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has offered to  provide the required Rs 21 billion to the Election Commission of Pakistan if the SBP were to not comply with the Supreme Court’s directive to provide the same.

“Yes, the chairman’s current going rate for a meet-and-greet is Rs 10 million,” said PTI Punjab president  Ejaz Chaudhry. “So a neat 2100 people could do the trick.”

“There are other packages as well, which cost more, like meet+selfie, meet+fries+coke and meet+fries+Coke,” he added.

However, when contacted, the federal information minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said the government has now shifted away from the argument of funds shortage. “It’s RAW or something, which is why we think elections should be delayed.”
