Senator Shibli Faraz of the Pakistan Tehrik E Insaaf was belatedly informed on Friday that he was, in fact, the son of famous anti-establishment poet Ahmad Faraz.
“I was really angry at ancestry.com on account of them being dreadfully late in providing me with relevant information about my ancestry,” said a surprised Shibli Faraz at a press conference. “Much to my surprise, they finally did inform me that my father was none other than famous in political gadfly Ahmad Faraz!”
“I immediately tweeted out a couplet written by that famous po…sorry, my father, Ahmad Faraz, that I dedicated to the ruling PDM.”
Sources at ancestry.com revealed that the Senator has also purchased an advanced product that could change his ancestry in case he has to make another press conference at the National Press Club.
