MUMBAI/KUALA LUMPUR — Sima Taparia has found a virtuous Muslim girl of good character as wife for Dr Zakir Naik’s son Fariq, The Dependent has learnt.
Taparia, known fondly as Sima Aunty, has found a girl that will be a source of guidance and strength for Fariq.
“And the girl is flexible enough to let Fariq be a source of guidance for her as well,” Sima Aunty told this scribe while talking to The Dependent.
Sima Aunty, or Mami, as this scribe preferred to call her, had a large banner in her hand on which Dr Zakir Naik’s Facebook matrimonial advertisement for this son’s marriage was printed, which she was using as a checklist.
“The girl has checked all the boxes listed in the ad, and is additionally willing to further adjust and compromise. The rest is up to destiny,” Sima Mami added.
Sima Mami further confirmed that the Taliban have also approached her with a similar checklist as Dr Zakir Naik to help them select an undisputed virtuous leader and overcome the ongoing political internal crisis.
The Naik family wasn’t available for comments despite repeated efforts by The Dependent, with Dr Zakir Naik hanging up the phone after confirming that this scribe had indeed asked a very good question.
