DJ Butt returns for Chowk Studio Season 2

ISLAMABAD – Eight years after the overwhelming success of the first season of Chowk Studio, also known as D-Chowk Studio, DJ Butt is all set to be the music producer of the second season, which is scheduled to air from Sunday.

Believed to be among the most powerful political figures in the country, DJ Butt will start from where he left off in 2014, sources within the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) informed The Dependent.

And party enthusiasts cannot wait.

“Music is instrumental to a jalsa and who else can play it better than the great DJ Butt?” exclaimed an unemployed youth who used to bunk her classes during the 2014 dharna just to see a sight of Imran Khan and chant “Rok sako to rok lo, tabdeeli aayi ray”. She told this scribe that almost everything has changed in the country since then, but her love for Khan remains eternal.

A social media influencer added, “I have spent five big minutes in understanding the world. See, just today, I got to read a quotation of Alexander Wendt on Insta. I have started to know Wendt better than he himself.”

Another, a university graduate, started dancing with joy hearing the news and chanted, “DJ walay baabu, Riyasat-e-Medina bana day!”

Many of those looking forward to the upcoming season hope that similar jamming sessions can be organised in the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, which both the Pakistani government and the Taliban have worked really hard to make a reality.

Not everyone is on board, however.

“Everyone betrays me. First it’s Haleema baji who made me her die-hard fan, but she doesn’t listen to me now. And then music concerts are happening while the sharia enforcing regime has banned concerts East of the border,” said one disgruntled youth.

“Why doesn’t the world simply follow my ideals? Does no one care about my feelings?” they asked.

Meanwhile, well-placed sources have also informed The Dependent that a tug of war has already begun among other brands to rope in DJ Butt for their upcoming seasons.

DJ Butt could soon be seen on No-Confidence Basement and the Battle of the Banned.
