‘Been on Khanzada 4 times, you think a little teargas scares me,’ Hamad Azhar asks police

Former energy minister and professional punching bag Hammad Azhar has challenged the Punjab police to try to stop him from going over to the federal capital as part of the PTI’s Long March.

“I’ve been on Shahzeb Khanzada’s program not once, not twice, not thrice, not four times, not five….sorry, I meant four times,” he said, while speaking to reporters at Batti Chowk, Lahore. “Sorry, I still get a little whoozy when I remember that.”

“You think a chhittar or two can faze me? Or are these pathetic little teargas cannisters supposed to make me squeal,” he asked the Punjab Police rhetorically. “I’ve been on Shahzeb Bloody Khanzada. That’s where I cut my teeth. If I could face him, I can handle the gas.”

“Yes, I couldn’t handle the gas as energy minister, but I was talking about the teargas,” he said, in response to a question by a reporter.

“And okay, yes, I didn’t ‘handle’ Khanzada, but he didn’t kill me and, as they say, what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”

“Please don’t hit me,” he added.
