Missing persons must come to court to verify they are missing, says Sanaullah

Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that his government was committed to all human rights issues, specially that of the recovery of missing persons.

“The PDM and the Muslim League is absolutely committed to the issue of missing person,” he said, speaking to reporters at a press conference. “But the missing persons have to cooperate with us.”

“They should go to the court and tell the court that they are indeed missing,” he said. “Once this legal formality has been met, the government and my ministry can proceed forward with recovering these individuals.”

“They have to meet us halfway. I mean all the way to the court. And then, from the court premises, they can call us. If nobody picks up the ministry number, they should keep calling.”

“Hah, cute,” said an individual wearing white shalwar kameez and black waistcoat to The Dependent outside the PID building where the interior minister’s press conference took place.

“I’d like to see him recover them even if they do find a way to go to the court themselves.”
