I did nothing wrong, says Bajwa in exclusive interview to PakWheels

“I did nothing wrong,” says General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa. “It was those lower down that did whatever they did. This conspiracy goes all the way to the bottom.”

These views were expressed by the former army chief in an exclusive interview to well known news platform PakWheels’ Suneel Munj.

“I did not remove Hamid Mir from his job, or Talat Hussein or anyone. During my tenure, people lost their jobs only because of the economic conditions created during hybrid regime, not censorship.”

“I did not have Matiullah Jan abducted, and I complained to (former ISI chief) General Faiz about this as well, because it wasn’t done tastefully. My abductions were tasteful, almost beautiful. Illegal abductions are an art,” he said to Munj.

“I have nothing but respect for the journalist community. In fact, I used to listen to Siddiq Jan’s podcasts when I used to shave people’s heads,” he added.

“Shireen Mazari’s daughter used to get quick relief from the courts,” he added. “Because she is good friends  with famous lawyer Imaan Mazari-Hazir and she gets her out of trouble.”

The interview was also a personal record for the time duration of Suneel Munj’s staying silent.
